7th Street Public Market

Today I spent the afternoon with my mom showing her my favorite market place and all the reasons why I love it. She was astonished to find out that this little gem has been hiding in the heart of Charlotte for years. I loved walking her through the market and watching her face light up with every stop we made; it was as if with every vendor we talked with, I watched her fall more and more in love with my favorite place in Charlotte.

Our first stop was at Not Just Coffee, a local favorite amongst us Charlotteans. My mom opted for the Nitro Cold Brew, and let me just say that little guy packs a punch! And of course I went for a classic Iced Carmel Latte. Watching my mom take her first sip, it was as if I watched her face turn into the heart eyed emoji.

Our next stop was at Zia Pia Imports + Italian Kitchen. We both decided to get paninis, and let me tell you they are everything that dreams are made of. I went with the Rustichella (prosciutto de parma, fresh mozzarella and tomato, Tega Hills greens, served on Italian rustic bread), and my mom decided on The Butchers Panino (Tuscan salami, mortadello, prosciutto de parma, provolone, fresh tomato, and mixed greens). We inhaled them in about .5 seconds so I'm glad I remembered to snap a picture of them before they were completely destroyed.

Then we made our way to a local shop called CLT Find, and let me tell you it is the cutest little boutique with local vendors. They had everything from hand made candles (and if you know me I am the biggest sucker for candles) to accessories, and more! I absolutely fell in love with that sweet space. While I was there I bought the cutest gold necklace with the state of North Carolina stamped on it (I had been looking for something like this forever, so obviously I couldn't not grab it). It's probably a good thing I left my debit card at home and only had a little bit of cash on me because I would have easily blown all of my money in that dreamy little shop.

Needless to say, if you have never stopped by 7th Street Public Market you must add it to your list of places to go to! It encompasses the vibe of one of my favorites cities (Seattle), all while in the comfort of my hometown. Plus it's filled with local vendors and artisans, and I'm all about supporting my fellow Charlotteans.
